With a few of my closest girlfriends expecting babies this year, I've been keeping myself and my bank account pretty busy. Truthfully, I'm beyond excited to shop for these little ones that are soon to be joining us! I've searched every corner of the web and Pinterest for some inspiration on gift ideas that moms and babies couldn't resist.

Sometimes it's best to keep it simple and go with the essentials that baby and mom will need. A cute idea that I’ve been loving lately is homemade gift baskets. Recently, I've been obsessed with making gift baskets for baby showers, and I figured I should share a few of my favorite things that I include in each basket. You might be asking: "Well, how do you create the perfect gift basket?” Here are a few things you should keep in mind when creating these sweet gift baskets:

First, let's start by getting a basket! This grey one I've got is actually from the dollar store, and what I love most about it is that the mom can use it for anything afterward. Depending on what theme you plan on creating, you can grab a blanket or even use tissue paper to decorate your basket for the baby.

Last, but not least: The products. Now, here's where you can get creative (or not) and choose what you would like to include in your box. Since I wanted to stick to the bath time theme, I included a bathrobe, rubber duckies, bath toys, and soft cloths. I went ahead and kept it simple, so I picked out just the essentials.

When Felix was younger something about a soft bath towel and the perfect bath product would soothe him right to sleep—that's why I had to include my favorite Johnson's Bedtime Bath and Lotion for my best friend’s baby girl’s bath time. Not only do the Naturalcalm aromas help soothe and relax baby before bed but now 96% of the ingredients in Johnson's washes, lotions, and hair products are naturally derived or of natural origin! I also can't help but notice how delicious the products smell.

Did you know that Johnson’s Bedtime products are part of the Johnson’s 3-Step Bedtime Routine? The routine is simple – it’s a warm bath followed by a gentle massage and quiet time – and it’s clinically proven to help baby fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer in just seven days.

I for one know how overwhelming it can be with a new baby and the best gift I can give my expecting friends is a comfortable bath time routine with the help of bath products that I trust; knowing that they are gentle on babies' skin and your wallet, how can I not!
